Play Map LA is a public inventory of ages 0–6 events, places, and classes across Los Angeles — built to complement parks & recreation, library, and city/county calendars, not replace them. City and county agencies, parks & rec departments, neighborhood councils, and library government pages link to Play Map LA as a free family resource that stays current without staff rebuilding a calendar each week.

Every listing deep-links to the official city/county or venue page for times, registration, and tickets. We are a discovery layer — not the registrar. There is no cost, no login, and no procurement needed to link, embed, or submit a program. No PII is collected from residents on our side.

Zero-cost listing for city programs

Parks & rec classes, library storytimes, and other city/county family programs can be listed at no cost — no vendor contract, no procurement paperwork.

1. Submit via /submit with the official city/county page URL, ages, neighborhood, and schedule basics. One submission per program is enough.
2. We publish a structured listing that attributes the official source and deep-links back for registration/tickets. Parents register on your site — we do not take signups.
3. Approved listings appear in live hubs (free, storytimes, this weekend, places) and neighborhood filters so families can find them by area and age.
4. To feature a program or correct details, include the Play Map LA URL and the official source — contact us and we update the listing. No login to maintain.

This is editorial discovery with attribution, not a scrape and not a replacement for your official calendar. Every listing keeps your agency as the source of truth.
