1. Who The Service Is For
Play Map LA is built for parents and caregivers looking for family-friendly events, places, and classes around Los Angeles. The Service is not for child accounts, and children may not create accounts or submit personal information through the Service.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information, such as email address and authentication provider details.
- Saved items and lists that you create in your account.
- Newsletter signups, including email address, optional name, source, and unsubscribe status.
- Public submissions, such as event, place, or class details and organizer contact information.
- Feedback you choose to send through the feedback widget.
- Basic analytics events, such as page views, clicks, saves, shares, and signup source.
3. Children’s Information
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Please do not submit child names, photos, school names, medical information, precise home location, or other private child information.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Operate accounts, lists, saves, and sharing features.
- Review and moderate submissions and feedback.

5. Analytics And Service Providers
We use services such as Supabase for authentication and database storage, analytics tools such as Google Analytics and PostHog, and email providers such as Resend. We configure analytics conservatively and do not use heatmaps, session recording, or autocapture.
6. Sharing And Public Content
Some features may allow you to make content public (for example, sharing a list via a link). If you make something public, it may be viewable by anyone who has the link and may be indexed or shared by others outside of our control.
Public Lists
Lists are private by default. If you make a list public, anyone with the share link can view the list and its included items. Do not include private family details in public list names or descriptions.
7. Data Retention
We keep account, list, and newsletter information until you delete it, unsubscribe, or ask us to remove it. We may delete or anonymize rejected submissions and feedback after they are no longer needed for moderation or product improvement.
8. Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from email using the link in newsletter emails. You can request account deletion, data deletion, or corrections by contacting us through the corrections/contact channel listed on the site.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
