Before you leave
- Confirm nap / snack window (and a hard leave time)
- Check heat, rain, or AQI — have an indoor backup
- Pack water, diapers/wipes, and one change of clothes
- Stroller or carrier charged/ready; parking or Metro plan noted
At the outing
- Arrive with 10 minutes of buffer for bathrooms / parking
- One “yes” activity + one quiet backup (books, snack, shade)
- Photo of the exit / meeting spot if the space is crowded
- Know the official source link if details look stale
Aftercare (optional)
- Note what worked for next weekend (age fit, noise, drive time)
- Toss wet clothes in a bag before the car seat
- Hydrate + low-stimulation ride home if needed
