World Cup Soccer Exhibit In celebration of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026™, and in recognition of Torrance being the birthplace of AYSO Soccer, the Torrance Historical Society invited Miguel Salazar and Julie Randall, owners of Street Faire Antiques in downtown Torrance, to share their private soccer collection. Museum visitors are invited to immerse themselves in this curated collection, which highlights soccer’s global impact and lasting legacy. Stop by, tour the collection, and meet the collectors – Julie and Miguel – Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM . Overview Miguel Salazar and Julie Randall, proprietors of Street Faire Antiques in downtown Torrance, have assembled a remarkable private soccer collection. Showcasing items accumulated from 1998 to 2026, this exhibition presents an exceptional and wide-ranging selection of soccer memorabilia. Included are artifacts and keepsakes that represent major soccer events and organizations, such as the FIFA World Cup, the Women’s World Cup, AYSO, LA Galaxy, and Olympic Soccer. Collection Highlights FIFA World Cup – This section features items from the world’s most prestigious soccer tournament, reflecting its history and global significance Women’s World Cup – The collection includes memorabilia that celebrates the achievements and historical milestones of women’s soccer AYSO – Artifacts from the American Youth Soccer Organization illustrate grassroots soccer development and its impact on the sport’s growth in the United States LA Galaxy – The collection showcases pieces related to the renowned Major League Soccer team, highlighting their role in American soccer Olympic Soccer – Memorabilia and artifacts from Olympic soccer competitions demonstrate the sport’s presence on the international stage Soccer in the Media – Ted Lasso, Barbie – This section highlights soccer’s cultural influence and representation in popular media Exhibition: April 12 – August 31, 2026 Museum Hours: Open free to the public Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
