Designed for children ages 5–12, this program pairs young readers with supportive teen mentors in relaxed, 30-minute sessions focused on encouragement and growth. Each session begins with your child choosing a book that sparks their interest. As they read aloud, their Reading Buddy sits alongside them, offering gentle guidance, help with tricky words, and encouragement every step of the way. It’s not about perfection—it’s about progress, confidence, and discovering the joy in stories. Whether your child is just beginning or looking to strengthen their skills, Reading Buddies creates a positive, pressure-free environment where learning feels natural and fun. This is a relaxed, drop‑in program. Families can sign in when they arrive, and each child will have their own one‑on‑one turn with a Reading Buddy in the order of arrival.
