Lunch at the Library

About this event

Free lunches and activities for ages 0-18. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, as supplies last. Activities provided during the lunch period include STEM projects, art, crafts, homestead projects, nutrition, music lessons and sensory play. Family health and wellness services will also be offered onsite. No registration required. LOCATIONS Jefferson Branch Library, 1500 E. Villa St. Villa Parke Branch Library, 363 E. The library will offer children and teens art, craft and science activities along with books to add to their home libraries at various locations throughout the city where free lunch is served. By pairing reading with food access, we can provide youth in our community with two major ingredients needed to succeed in school and beyond – healthy food and literacy. In addition to visiting lunch sites throughout the city, lunch will be served at Jefferson and Villa Parke Branch Libraries from June 8 – August 14. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. The Summer Food Service Program is a program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, administered in California by the California Department of Education. Lunch at the Library is a project of the California State Library, supported with funds from the State of California.
