About This Event
The program starts with an exciting breaking aka breakdance performance followed by a brief history of the hip-hop culture and breaking, a new Olympic sport in 2024. The performer will introduce and show the various dance components in breaking (ie: toprock, footwork, freezes, power-moves) and how these dance components all come together. The audience will be able to participate in a hands on learning experience followed by a group showcase to demonstrate the new dance moves. This program is made possible with the generous support of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
