Skirball Puppet Festival

Discover pockets of fun as you move between performances big and small from some of Southern California’s premier puppetry acts. Puppets of all shapes and sizes can't wait to meet you! Doors open for Puppet Festival at 12:00 pm. Museum is open 11:00 am–5:00 pm Noah’s Ark will open at 11:00 am with one-hour time slots (first-come, first-served) with the last entry at 3:00 pm. Noah’s Ark will close at 4:00 pm. The Archaeology Dig will be closed for Puppet Festival. Inspired by awe and wonder found aboard Noah’s Ark, let your imagination run wild as you spend the day soaring and stomping alongside colorful animals and eclectic creatures! Puppets of all shapes and sizes will delight and surprise as you move between performances by premier puppetry acts found in Southern California and across the country. While you’re here, enjoy live music, learn from expert puppeteers to hone your craft, discover Noah’s Ark animals as they pop up across the campus, and make sure to design a puppet of your own to bring your stories to life! See dazzling puppetry performances from Milo the Magnificent, Immortals Lion Dancers, Dragon Knights, Hannah the Helpful Hippo, and more! Add color to your day with pop up micro performances and discover roaming puppets from Rarick and Morgenstern, Sherry Layne, Noah’s Ark, and our Monster of Ceremonies! Spend the day with the Skirball Teen Advisory Commitee and TeenTix making buttons, singing karaoke, and creating an immersive film experience!
