The Los Angeles Zoo is thrilled to welcome Angelenos to enjoy special activities and performances honoring the Mexican tradition of Día de los Niños/Children's Day, which has been observed in Mexico since 1925. Everyone can enjoy the Día De Los Niño's celebration with live music and dance performances; arts and crafts; bilingual storytelling (English and Spanish); education stations; themed food and beverages, and more! Books include: Omar el Jaguar and Not a Monster PLUSHIE CLINIC EDUCATION STATION (Sat and Sun) Visit the "Plushie Clinic" station for a plushie friend health report! Kids can bring their own stuffed companion or borrow one of ours to undergo an imaginary veterinary exam led by one of our friendly volunteers. Once the exam is complete, each plushie patient will be awarded a certificate of good health, making it a delightful way for kids to learn about animal care and responsibility!
