Become a Community Scientist: Monarchs, Bumble Bees & Their Habitat!

The Hastings Library is excited to announce new Neighborhood Science Kits, now available for checkout through the Pasadena Public Library. Developed by ecological educator and UC California Naturalist Kristy Brauch and supported by the UC Master Gardeners of Los Angeles County Pollinator Team, the kits give everyone—from curious kids to lifelong naturalists—the tools to explore, observe, and contribute to community science in their own neighborhoods. Join Kristy for a fun, hands-on public forum exploring the habitat monarch butterflies and bumble bees depend on and how we can help create and protect it.
