About the play partner: Sawdust Art Festival’s Art Education Department Located in the heart of Laguna Beach’s iconic eucalyptus grove, the Sawdust Art Festival’s Art Education Department is dedicated to nurturing the artist in everyone. We believe that art isn’t just something to be viewed, it’s something to be experienced firsthand. Our mission is to provide a vibrant, hands-on environment where creativity knows no bounds. Whether you are a seasoned maker or picking up a brush for the first time, our department offers a diverse array of workshops and demonstrations led by professional working artists. What We Offer: Sawdust Art Classes: Year-round workshops in specialized mediums like glassblowing, ceramics, jewelry making, painting, and more. Festival Magic: During our summer and winter shows, we provide daily, complimentary art projects at our three art studios. Community Connection: We bridge the gap between the public and the local artist community by bringing the Sawdust experience to you! We provide specialized programming for youth organizations, private groups, and community events. All tailored to inspire creativity in any setting. From the tactile thrill of throwing clay on a potter’s wheel to the delicate art of watercolor, we invite you to step into our “outdoor studio” and leave with more than just a souvenir, leave with a new skill and a spark of inspiration.
